Courses
Diploma in Theology
The curriculum offers a rich blend of theological studies, biblical interpretation, and spiritual formation. Students will engage with core subjects such as Old and New Testament Survey, Systematic Theology, Church History, and Christian Ethics, all taught from a Christ-centered, scripturally faithful perspective.
We are pleased to introduce Biblical Counselling as a dedicated subject within the program. This addition equips students with practical, scripture-based tools to offer counsel, encouragement, and support in personal and pastoral settings. Biblical Counselling emphasizes the sufficiency of God’s Word in addressing life’s struggles and guiding believers toward transformation and healing through Christ.
By the end of the program, students will be well-prepared to serve effectively in their churches and communities, with a strong biblical foundation and the skills to offer meaningful counsel rooted in God’s truth.
Modules
Systematic Theology
Systematic theology is the discipline of studying and organizing the teachings of the Bible into a coherent, comprehensive framework. It seeks to understand and explain key doctrines—such as God, creation, sin, salvation, the church, and end times—in a logical, interconnected way. Rather than examining Scripture verse by verse, it gathers biblical truths from across the Bible and arranges them thematically.
Hermeneutics
Hermeneutics is the study of the principles and methods used to interpret the Bible. It helps readers understand the intended meaning of Scripture by considering context, culture, language, genre, and historical background. Rather than simply reading the text, hermeneutics involves analyzing it carefully to avoid misinterpretation. It acts as a bridge between the ancient world of the Bible and modern readers, guiding accurate understanding and faithful application. Hermeneutics is foundational for sound theology, preaching, and personal study, ensuring that biblical truth is handled with care and clarity.
Spiritual life
Spiritual life refers to a person’s ongoing relationship with God, shaped by faith, prayer, worship, and obedience. It involves cultivating a deep inner life rooted in the Holy Spirit, marked by growth in love, humility, and holiness. The spiritual life is nourished through Scripture, fellowship, and spiritual disciplines like fasting, meditation, and service. It’s not just about belief, but transformation—aligning one’s heart, mind, and actions with Christ. A vibrant spiritual life brings peace, purpose, and intimacy with God, empowering believers to live out their faith daily and reflect God’s presence in the world.
Old Testament Survey
Old Testament Survey is an overview of the first 39 books of the Bible, focusing on key themes, events, and people. It explores the Law, History, Wisdom, and Prophets, highlighting God’s covenant, Israel’s journey, and the foundation for the New Testament. The survey provides historical and theological context to help readers better understand Scripture and God’s unfolding plan of redemption.
New Testament Survey
New Testament Survey is an overview of the 27 books of the New Testament, focusing on the life of Jesus, the growth of the early church, and core Christian teachings. It covers the Gospels, Acts, the Epistles, and Revelation, exploring key themes like salvation, grace, faith, and the kingdom of God. The survey highlights major figures—Jesus, Paul, Peter, and others—while providing historical and cultural context. It helps readers understand how the New Testament fulfills Old Testament promises and guides Christian life and doctrine.
Church history
Church History is the study of the Christian Church’s development from the time of the apostles to today. It covers key events, movements, and figures—like the early church, councils, the Reformation, and global missions. Church history shows how doctrine, worship, and leadership have evolved, and how the church responded to challenges over time. It helps believers understand their roots, learn from the past, and see God’s hand in shaping His people throughout the ages.
Evangelism and Missions
Evangelism and Missions focus on sharing the gospel and spreading the message of Jesus Christ. Evangelism is the act of proclaiming the good news to individuals, calling them to faith and repentance. Missions involves crossing cultural, geographic, or language barriers to reach people who have not heard the gospel, often through long-term efforts. Both are rooted in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19–20) and reflect God’s heart for all nations. Together, they aim to make disciples, plant churches, and bring transformation through the power of the gospel.
Cults
Cults are religious groups that deviate from biblical Christianity, often denying core doctrines like the Trinity or salvation by grace. They may follow a charismatic leader, distort Scripture, and exert strong control over members. Though they may appear Christian, their teachings lead away from the true gospel.
Homiletics
Homiletics is the art and science of preaching. It focuses on preparing and delivering biblical sermons that clearly communicate God’s Word. Homiletics teaches structure, clarity, interpretation, and application, helping preachers share the gospel effectively. Its goal is to faithfully present Scripture in a way that transforms lives.
Biblical Counselling
Biblical Counselling is the practice of using Scripture to help people deal with life’s problems, emotional struggles, and spiritual issues. It focuses on heart change through God’s truth, rather than relying on secular psychology. Biblical counselling points individuals to Christ, applying biblical principles for healing, growth, and godly living.
